Tandem at Tenterfield

I took a trip out to Tenterfield at the weekend to catch up with Huw & Carolyn Thomas who are peddling their tandem bicycle 10,000 miles to mark the 10th anniversary of disaster relief charity, Shelterbox. They’ve already cycled through the States, Canada and New Zealand, raising awareness and lots of money and are looking pretty fit!

It’s a 400km round trip to Tenterfield from Alstonville ….. but not so bad in a car. Local Rotary club president, Graham Braid was kind enough to take on a of tour around the historic Federation town and the beautiful surrounding area. The highlight for me was Draining Rock, quite dramatic beneath the brooding sky.
