Record of the Week

I was flicking through some old vinyl the other day and decided it would be selfish of me to keep it all to myself. So I thought I’d do an occasional feature on the blog and have a Record of the Week. Picked at random, the first up is Spear of Destiny’s 1984 album, “One Eyed Jacks”. With great post-punk classics as the mournful “Young Men” and the mosh-pit filling “Liberator”, it defined the band’s sound.

Spear of Destiny are still going, have a new album out (“Omega Point”) and are planning live dates with Stiff Little Fingers in the UK later this year, when Kirk Brandon recovers from his recent illness. My chosen track is “Prisoner of Love”
